About 6XP.net

6XP.net started as a project back in 2008, it wasn't supposed to be called 6xp, we actually had another domain name for this project.
We had used URL shorteners and we had created temporary email addresses in our servers thousands of times, so we thought about creating a website that could provide both services.
Our original project was more restrictive as it required users to sign up for a free account prior to being able to use the service.
That website never made it past alpha stage.

Then in 2009, in a domain registration frenzy, we saw the domain name 6XP.net expire, so we grabbed it and decided to re-launch the project. 6XP.net was born.
